New Bollywood Trailers

Book Your Dates For August, September and October! We told you how excited we are for Mardaani that’s releasing on the 22nd August 2014. But here are some more Bollywood films you should keep an eye out for in the upcoming the months. They look really exciting… and each one of them is different!

Singham-Returns-Firs-Look-Poster-3 Okay I’ve got to be honest – I did not enjoy quite Singham (first part).  I mean I found it to be the usual over-the-top action film following the traditional Bollywood formula of a good guy bashing up 10 goons. Singham Returns is also (not surprisingly) a typical Bollywood Masaledaar entertainer where you’ve got action, heroism and hell lot of stunts. Ajay Devgan seems to be in form and this film also stars Anupam Kher and Kareena Kapoor. What I liked most about the trailer? This particular dialogue – “teri kundli mere haath mein tab se hai, jab se tu Gaiety Galaxy theatre ke bahar ticket black karta tha”….. Do I hear whistles already?

Releasing – 15 August 2014

Too many things were floating in my mind after watching the trailer of Daawat-e-ishq – Dowry, bribery, Hydrebad, Lucknow scam, fraud and FOOD! Daawat-e-ishq is a story of Gulrez who’s disillusioned in love because of her encounters with the umpteen number of dowry seeking men.  She meets Tariq, the charming cook who falls in love with her. Parineeti Chopra plays the usual bubbly girl and Aditya Roy Kapur impresses with his looks! Till the midpoint of trailer, this seemed like just another rom-com with the boy trying to win over the lady with a cauliflower and change her perceptions about love. But the second half of the trailer brings about a twist and it looks like Gulrez has been conning the master chef all this while! Right from YRF’s kitchen, the trailer does look promising. (Oh and it did make me really hungry… )

Releasing – 05 September 2014

When I saw the trailer of Finding Fanny Fernandes for the first time, I was really intrigued by the plot! Five Goans set off on a road trip in search of Stefanie “Fanny” Fernandes, the childhood love of an old postman. Being a fan of road journeys, FFF looks like a mad ride with a bunch of oddballs. The entire cast has some brilliant actors including Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia. Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor have sizzling chemistry. The trailer is quirky and I think this is going to be a really funny film!

Releasing – 12 September 2014

shahid1-feb3Haider is the desi version of Shakespeares’ classic Hamlet, the prince of Denmark. It is a Vishal Bharadwaj film and stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead title role. After watching the trailer, all I can say is – Shahid simply swept me off my feet. He is absolutely brilliant in his maverick avatar, depicting mixed shades in his character. Tabu plays Shahid Kapoor’s mother in the film while Shraddha Kapoor is his love interest.  The plot is complicated, yes.. the trailer might confuse you too but we just have to wait and watch whether Vishal recreates the magic that he did with his earlier films Omkara and Maqbool.

Releasing – 02 October 2014
